Television Futures Media (TFM) with its slogan "the Mirror of Senegal" is a completely private general-interest channel. Financed with own funds by the Senegalese singer and businessman, Youssou Ndour, it is the latest (May 11, 2010) of the Futurs Médias Group, which included, before its advent, the tabloid L'Observateur, the country's leading daily, and RFM, the leading radio station in the Dakar regions.
Faced with its competitors already established in the national media landscape, the new television behaves well and is at the heart of Senegalese. After four months of operation, the government of Senegal decided to grant it a general-interest channel license with a bouquet in January 20112.
In 2017, a survey carried out by Africascope gives TFM the first place in audience in Senegal
