In Gabon, the print media currently includes over sixty titles, with L'Union as the only national daily and the most emblematic newspaper. The most widely read private weeklies are Echos du Nord, La Loupe, L'Aube, and Le Temps. Online media is rapidly growing, with Gabonreview, Gabon Media Time, and Gabonactu being the most visited websites. Despite competition from several private channels, state channels such as Gabon Première and Gabon 24 remain highly influential. The country also has a developed audiovisual industry, including around forty private or community radio stations and several television channels. About one in ten Gabonese have access to the Internet. |
