Eri-TV is an Eritrean public television channel. The country's first national channel, it began broadcasting in January 1993, and in its early days benefited from the help of Canadian technicians. It is a generalist channel broadcast mainly in four languages: Tigrinya (most of the time) Arabic, English and Tigris. Some shows are also broadcast in Amharic, Somali and Oromo. The program schedule is made up of television news, cultural programs, series, entertainment and variety.
